Automatic language detection handles the recording. Your selected language is translated automatically after transcription. Review the original and translation together. Video translation produces text and subtitles; it does not create a dubbed video.

Make the translation useful
Spanish voice notes often omit a subject that English needs to state explicitly. In an interview, identify who “we” or “they” refers to before quoting the English version. Regional vocabulary and fast connected speech can also affect place names, dates, and instructions. Keep the original Spanish beside the translation so a fluent reviewer can resolve a passage without guessing from English alone.
What to check in your recording
- Check whether a date such as “el próximo viernes” refers to this week or next week.
- Review regional words and names in the Spanish transcript before choosing English phrasing.
A language-pair example
Original wording · Spanish
La reunión empieza mañana a las nueve.
Translated wording · English
The meeting starts tomorrow at nine.
Illustrative wording, not a result from an uploaded recording. Actual output depends on the audio and context.
Choose your output
Download TXT for searchable notes directly on this page. Account users can also export DOCX, PDF, or CSV. SRT and VTT can carry translated text with the recording’s segment timestamps. For an audio interview, retain the original recording so you can check the wording of any quoted passage.
Ways to use the translated text
- Interview notes for an English-speaking editor
- Voice messages from Spanish-speaking colleagues
- Study notes from Spanish podcasts
Supported file formats

Before you upload
What should I review when translating Spanish audio into English?
For voice recordings, replay brief pronouns and numbers rather than assuming the English sentence supplies the right subject. A translated interview quote should be checked in its surrounding conversation. Spanish from different regions may use a different everyday word for the same object, so review unfamiliar vocabulary with the speaker’s location in mind.
Can I keep the Spanish transcript as well?
Yes. The original transcript remains available in the task alongside the translation. Check it against the recording, correct errors, and select the original or translated version when exporting. A translation should not be treated as a word-for-word record of what the speaker said.
Can I translate a voice recording or podcast?
Yes. Upload a supported audio file rather than a link to an arbitrary website. Listen to quiet speakers and clipped sentence endings in the original transcript before translating. If several people speak, keep clear pauses between turns where possible.
Do I need an account, and is translation free?
Try one task a day without signing in, with up to 30 minutes per recording and 120 minutes a month. The selected translation is included. A free account allows 3 tasks a day and saves your results; guest usage is carried over.
Which export formats are available?
Guest results can be downloaded as TXT, SRT, or VTT. Sign in for DOCX, PDF, and CSV exports. SRT and VTT preserve segment timings for subtitles. Check terminology and subtitle readability before sharing the translated result.
