A free account includes 3 tasks a day and 120 minutes a month. Your guest task and usage move to your account; signing up does not reset usage.

Automatic language detection handles the recording. Your selected language is translated automatically after transcription. Review the original and translation together. Video translation produces text and subtitles; it does not create a dubbed video.

Make the translation useful

An English voice recording may not specify whether French should address the listener as tu or vous. Choose the register for the actual audience, then keep it consistent through the translated notes. Phrasal verbs, job titles, and casual idioms need context rather than a literal French substitution. Before sharing a meeting transcript, check responsibilities and dates in the original English so the French text communicates the same practical commitment.

What to check in your recording

  • Choose tu or vous consistently for the intended audience.
  • Review idioms, job titles, and the precise meaning of phrasal verbs.

Choose your output

Download TXT for searchable notes directly on this page. Account users can also export DOCX, PDF, or CSV. SRT and VTT can carry translated text with the recording’s segment timestamps. For an audio interview, retain the original recording so you can check the wording of any quoted passage.

Ways to use the translated text

  • French notes from English partner calls
  • English interview excerpts for French readers
  • French study notes from English recordings

Before you upload

What should I review when translating English audio into French?

Verify the intended form of address before sending a translated request. Check English dates, job titles, and phrasal verbs in the source recording, and review whether a line promises an action or merely proposes it. Prefer established French terminology over a literal word substitution for a specialist term.

Can I keep the English transcript as well?

Yes. The original transcript remains available in the task alongside the translation. Check it against the recording, correct errors, and select the original or translated version when exporting. A translation should not be treated as a word-for-word record of what the speaker said.

Can I translate a voice recording or podcast?

Yes. Upload a supported audio file rather than a link to an arbitrary website. Listen to quiet speakers and clipped sentence endings in the original transcript before translating. If several people speak, keep clear pauses between turns where possible.

Do I need an account, and is translation free?

Try one task a day without signing in, with up to 30 minutes per recording and 120 minutes a month. The selected translation is included. A free account allows 3 tasks a day and saves your results; guest usage is carried over.

Which export formats are available?

Guest results can be downloaded as TXT, SRT, or VTT. Sign in for DOCX, PDF, and CSV exports. SRT and VTT preserve segment timings for subtitles. Check terminology and subtitle readability before sharing the translated result.
