A free account includes 3 tasks a day and 120 minutes a month. Your guest task and usage move to your account; signing up does not reset usage.

Automatic language detection handles the recording. Your selected language is translated automatically after transcription. Review the original and translation together. Video translation produces text and subtitles; it does not create a dubbed video.

From recording to translated text

  1. 01

    Upload your Chinese video

Upload the original recording directly on this page. Use a file with clear speech and let automatic language detection identify the spoken language. Keep background music and overlapping voices as low as possible.

  2. 02

    Check the Chinese transcript

Read the original transcript and automatic translation on this page while listening to the recording. Check names, numbers, and missed words, then save any text corrections.

  3. 03

    Translate into English and export

The English translation is generated automatically with your transcript. Compare it with the original and download TXT, SRT, or VTT directly. Sign in to save the task and access account export formats.

Make the translation useful

Chinese product demonstrations often use the screen to supply context that the spoken sentence leaves out. Translate the recorded speech, then compare the English captions with the button, diagram, or process being discussed. A spoken Chinese abbreviation may not match the English wording printed on a product. Write those labels consistently during transcript review and keep caption breaks aligned with the explanation rather than splitting a technical term.

What to check in your recording

  • Manually confirm English labels on slides or software controls.
  • Keep a technical term on the same subtitle line when practical.

A language-pair example

Original wording · Chinese

我们明天下午三点讨论这个方案。

Translated wording · English

We will discuss this proposal tomorrow at three in the afternoon.

Illustrative wording, not a result from an uploaded recording. Actual output depends on the audio and context.

Choose your output

Export SRT or VTT to import translated captions into a video editor. Review reading speed, line breaks, and the timing around scene changes before publishing. TXT is also available directly; account users can additionally export DOCX, PDF, or CSV for a script or handout. Subtitle export does not burn captions into the video.

Ways to use the translated text

  • English subtitles for a Chinese product demo
  • Bilingual training scripts
  • English notes from a Chinese presentation

Supported file formats

3GP, MKV, MOV, MP4, MPG, TS, WEBM, WMV

Before you upload

What should I review when translating Chinese video into English?

Replay the video to identify what demonstratives such as 这个 refer to. Important slide text that is not spoken will not appear automatically in the transcript. Check Chinese quantities against the visual chart yourself, and preview subtitle timing when the presenter switches topics or moves to another screen.

Can I keep the Chinese transcript as well?

Yes. The original transcript remains available in the task alongside the translation. Check it against the recording, correct errors, and select the original or translated version when exporting. A translation should not be treated as a word-for-word record of what the speaker said.

Does this translate the video’s speech or text shown on screen?

This workflow transcribes the spoken audio in an uploaded video. It does not perform OCR on slides, signs, or embedded captions, and it does not replace the spoken voice. Add any important on-screen spelling when you review the original transcript.

Do I need an account, and is translation free?

Try one task a day without signing in, with up to 30 minutes per recording and 120 minutes a month. The selected translation is included. A free account allows 3 tasks a day and saves your results; guest usage is carried over.

Which export formats are available?

Guest results can be downloaded as TXT, SRT, or VTT. Sign in for DOCX, PDF, and CSV exports. SRT and VTT preserve segment timings for subtitles. Check terminology and subtitle readability before sharing the translated result.
