A free account includes 3 tasks a day and 120 minutes a month. Your guest task and usage move to your account; signing up does not reset usage.

Automatic language detection handles the recording. Your selected language is translated automatically after transcription. Review the original and translation together. Video translation produces text and subtitles; it does not create a dubbed video.

  3. 03

    Translate into English and export

The English translation is generated automatically with your transcript. Compare it with the original and download TXT, SRT, or VTT directly. Sign in to save the task and access account export formats.

Make the translation useful

Cantonese voice messages contain colloquial wording and sentence-final particles that a Mandarin paraphrase may flatten. Keep the Cantonese transcript and listen to the surrounding exchange when deciding whether an English line is a suggestion, reassurance, or firm request. English names and local place names may be mixed into the recording. Verify those spellings separately so the translated message is useful outside its original conversation.

What to check in your recording

  • Review colloquial Cantonese wording against the original voice message.
  • Check local place names and English terms embedded in Cantonese speech.

A language-pair example

Original wording · Cantonese

我哋聽朝十點再傾。

Translated wording · English

We will talk again tomorrow morning at ten.

Illustrative wording, not a result from an uploaded recording. Actual output depends on the audio and context.

Choose your output

Download TXT for searchable notes directly on this page. Account users can also export DOCX, PDF, or CSV. SRT and VTT can carry translated text with the recording’s segment timestamps. For an audio interview, retain the original recording so you can check the wording of any quoted passage.

Ways to use the translated text

  • English notes from Cantonese interviews
  • Cantonese voice messages for international colleagues
  • Bilingual notes from Hong Kong conversations

Supported file formats

Before you upload

What should I review when translating Cantonese audio into English?

Replay sentence-final particles and short responses in context; the intended tone may not have a direct English word. The transcription configuration preserves dialect wording, but unclear speech still needs review. Confirm dates and names before turning the translated message into an instruction for someone else.

Can I keep the Cantonese transcript as well?

Yes. The original transcript remains available in the task alongside the translation. Check it against the recording, correct errors, and select the original or translated version when exporting. A translation should not be treated as a word-for-word record of what the speaker said.

Can I translate a voice recording or podcast?

Yes. Upload a supported audio file rather than a link to an arbitrary website. Listen to quiet speakers and clipped sentence endings in the original transcript before translating. If several people speak, keep clear pauses between turns where possible.

Do I need an account, and is translation free?

Try one task a day without signing in, with up to 30 minutes per recording and 120 minutes a month. The selected translation is included. A free account allows 3 tasks a day and saves your results; guest usage is carried over.

Which export formats are available?

Guest results can be downloaded as TXT, SRT, or VTT. Sign in for DOCX, PDF, and CSV exports. SRT and VTT preserve segment timings for subtitles. Check terminology and subtitle readability before sharing the translated result.
